IntroductionI have been a member of Wealthy Affiliate University for over two years. The average membership at WAU is about 5 months but I have noticed that many members return after leaving.
They leave for different reasons. Some realize that a major time commitment is required to learn Internet Marketing and at the time, they needed to spend time doing other things. These are some of those that come back. Others become established in Internet marketing and go on their way. Nobody stays in college forever. You can get a tremendous education at WAU in 3-5 months. Of course there are those who don't get the hang of Internet marketing and they give up. This can be for a number of reasons. They may not do the task that are required in the step-by-step instructions, they not want to do all the hard work, they may not understand what they read. Those who are the most likely to win in this business are those with an open mind and not influenced by the clutter of the Internet gurus. They stick to a task until they make it work. Then they milk that task until they are getting full potential before they move on to a new attack. Many are young and become very successful in a short time. These are those that stay up late at night and use every spare moment pursuing the income that can let them quit their day job and work for themselves. Some of Those Having Great SuccessRyan is a young lad of high intelligence who has been a member of WAU for a number of years. He started Internet marketing in high school, earned over $500,000.00 in college, graduated in 2010, and now is a full-time marketer. I was hoping that Ryan would continue his formal education but he decided to expand his Internet operations. He is a Super Affiliate and I see his name as the top affiliate in one of the largest programs. He sells over 300 memberships to WAU every year and attends the annual meeting of the top WAU people every year. 
Travis (pic at right)is a very successful marketer and he teaches everyone to do it. His wife said he could even teach a hobo how to do it. Since then, his method has been called Bum Marketing. Yes, he goes to Los Vegas. Marcus was in a dead-end job in a factory in London. He is the Affiliate Manager at WAU. He attends the convention too as a seller of over 300 WAU memberships every year. PotPieGirl, Jennifer, is another very successful member of WAU. She is attends the Annual Meeting in Los Vegas. There are many more successful people at WAU. You can meet them in the forums or talk to them if you visit their personal pages on the WAU website. One thing that I have always enjoyed at WAU is the people. I have met many hundreds (thousands) and some are close friends. Jody in Canada who is now taking a hiatus with her kids is a very successful marketer while taking care of the boys. As you might have guest, WAU was founded some years back by two college computer science students. They needed money to finish their educations so they started Internet marketing. They eventually joined together to form WAU. They live in Vancouver, Canada and they are now millionaires. Their names are Carson and Kyle and you will have access to them at WAU through the forums or by direct content as FREE TUTORING is available to all members of WAU. They have been very busy lately because they added FREE HOSTING and FREE WordPress Blogs for all active members. They are very hard working young men. How Much is the Tuition at WAU?The price has increased at WAU. It is now $97.00/month. If you pay on an annual basis as I do, you will pay $120.00 less for your annual tuition. This is a lot of money, but like they say, you get what you pay for. Also, your tuition will never increase as long as you are a member of WAU. Most new Internet marketers expect to earn more than $97.00/month. Some new WA members sell memberships to more than pay for their annual tuition. In my case, I also save about $350.00/year in hosting fees as all of my sites now have Unlimited Hosting at WAU. So, WAU is essentially free to me. I thing most active members feel the same way. With the new WordPress blog creation tools, you can have your own blog up and selling WA to others in minutes. Having said that, if you can not spend the time required to learn how to market now, you may want to come back when you have a little more time. However remember that many of our members are college students and find the time to work the program. Some use breaks at work, get up a bit earlier in the morning, or stay up an extra hour or two at night to get things going. This business does take time and don't let the gurus tell you differently. Now here are my comments: Forums: You can get a number of answers to questions in the forums. Usually you don't pay for forums so I don't know where the value came from. However, in the forums one answer to your question can make you money. Also, you meet so many smart people who know what is going on and they are willing to share with you. Monthly Niche Reports: I have all the Niche Reports currently available. The best way for you to see what this means is to go to one of my sites that I designed from these reports: http://FindInsuranceHelp.com or http://chooseastock.com Online Website Builder: I don't use the builder but most all members do. However, I do use the templates and the Niche Reports. I also use the WordPress Tool which builds you a site in minutes. It can be a blog or a site, you choose. I use the WA Tool option to operate my blog that tells about Wealthy Affiliate. Free Web Hosting: The value of this is set at the cost of hosting one site. I have many sites, eliminated a designated server,and I save about $350.00/year. The hosting is good. There were some problems at first but they were minor in my case. Some complained about downtime but that problem has been solved. My sites were never down for long and that was very seldom. Hosting is unlimited so I have lots of sites hosted at WAU. Link Cloaking/Tracking System: You want to protect yourself in this business. This is a good feature. Keyword Research Software: I use this all the time. It saves me lots of time. Excellent! I use this instead of the Google tool because it is based on the Google External Tool but it is better with more features. Top Affiliate Program Finder: I'm not sure which tools they are referring to but I use the ClickBank Tool to find good digital products to promote. Pre-Built Website Templates: Look at my sites: www.findinsurancehelp.com and www.chooseastock.com. I use these templates at time and certainly the WordPress templates. Optimized Keyword Lists: Keywords are not always easy to find. You want those keywords with less competition. The WAU tutorials will show you how to use them in article marketing and PPC. Marcus and Kyle and Carson help members find good keywords. I use these list all the time to earn more money. Ad Competition Spy Tool: This is neat! Nothing like knowing what others are doing. Keyword / Adwords Tools: This is for PPC marketing where you pay for keywords when your ad is clicked. Most marketers use paid advertising of some kind but you can get hurt if you don't know what you are doing. But WAU has the tutorials to help you here. Free methods to start are good like Article Marketing and the Social Networking sites like Twitter and Facebook. Content Management Tool: Content is everything is this business. Google will not send traffic to a sight that does not have relevant content to the keywords people are looking for. If you have an article or ad that uses a certain keyword, the site you are sending folks to had better have relevant content. Google is trampling over people who do not do this. 400+ Tutorials & Guides (added daily): The tutorials are what you start with and, in my case, always go back to. They are well-written and the Tasks guide you in the right direction. Very Important Stuff! 50+ Training Videos (added weekly): There are plenty of videos to show you how to do things, especially technical things. Personal 1-on-1 Mentoring / Training: A direct message to Kyle or Carson will bring you a brief answer to your question. Forums will give you more extended answers. Ask only one question at a time and don't send Carson and Kyle the same question. I rotate between Carson and Kyle. That is I will use Kyle for several months and then switch to Carson. I also use Marcus, the Affiliate Manager for longer answers and guidance. This is very important to me. I like to get answers from the horse's mouth.
