It is a big world out there and there are so many topics to discuss that most sites do not cover what you need to know to get started in this business. They choose to be selective. For example, some training sites specialize in SEO which is a broad and difficult subject. It is important enough that they can focus on that subject and make money doing it. Some will hope you give up on SEO so they can do it for you. There are many training sites that focus on Article Marketing, one of the first methods used by new Internet Marketers. Other sites focus on Email marketing. Some focus on PPC marketing. Now days, Social Marketing is big. Twitter and Facebook and other sites can be profitable because they are free. So various sites will teach you how to do that. Craig's List is a big site and there are websites where you can learn how to do it. Keyword research is big. Many make their money teaching others how to use it to make money. Companies like Google, MSN, Yahoo, WordTracker, and other companies that service the industry provide very good tutorials on marketing. In other words, you don't have to go through all the preliminaries if you are an experienced marketer. I've checked on what members are doing, the ones making money, and they all use such sites. So you write and article and link to your review site or to your content site. PPC Tutorials:You will learn the ins and outs of PPC marketing, how to watch your money and how to avoid pitfalls. This is the best way to earn money on the Internet. It is also the most costly and you can lose money until you learn the ropes. ForumsWealthy Affiliate University provides Forumsto help you get your question answered and to allow you to contribute to the community. WA offers free tutoring from the owners, Kyle and Carson, but you can get more detailed answers on the forums. SpacesWhere you can meet new members or talk to old ones. Like in the Forums, you will learn from other members one-on-one. Site HostingSite hosting is free to members of WA. It was one free site but it has been increased to 30 sites. Note: I gave up my dedicated server and now use this service which appears to be identical to my old service which I had to pay over $300.00/year. If you leave WA, then your hosting ends! ConclusionWealthy Affiliate is a great training site for quick learners who can follow instructions. Those with uncluttered minds who are open to new techniques. It is not good for lazy people, get-rich-quick seekers, or those who may not be able to learn just by reading. I have found that those who have been contaminated by the gurus do not always do well here. I have not got rich, not does everyone who joins WAU make money. Some find the site to confusing with too much information. I agree that to learn at WA you must work very hard indeed. You need to make friends there to help you along (through the forum). For those who use the free hosting to the maximum and who take advantage of WA's affiiate program, it is a real bargain because it ends up costing nothing at all. Neil is one of those gurus that offes mentoring for a fee. As I remember, the fees are high. ConclusionI think it is worthwhile to pick up some free ebooks and software here. For a buck you can also gather a heck of a lot of other information in the "private site." The Internet Business Success Blueprint is very good as I own it. It is now only $27.00, a lot less than what I first paid for it.Other SitesLook at some of the training sites by using Google or other search engines. Much will be offered to buy. You will see that if you buy every .pdf or ebook offered, you will soon be spending a lot more than you need to. Many training materials are free on the Internet and there are plenty of them.
